How Transitions Can Lead to Something Incredible

I turned 60 last year. A milestone, yes—but also a moment of reflection. After two decades as a trainer, consultant, speaker, and business coach, I found myself at a familiar crossroads. The same place I’ve seen so many women stand before: What’s next?

Starting something new at this stage wasn’t exactly easy. In fact, starting my first business wasn’t easy either. I put blood, sweat, and tears into building it, and more than once I thought about walking away. But something in me wouldn’t let go.

Every time I stood on a stage, every time I watched that ah-ha moment happen in a training, every time I received a text a week later that said, “I tried what we talked about in class, and it worked—I’m getting promoted!”—I knew. This is what I was meant to do.

And now, after 20 years of guiding others through change, I find myself in the midst of my own transition—building Humble Hearth from the lessons I’ve lived. Because here’s what I know:
